BAUHAUS_reloaded

Pilot project of cooperation between the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland and the Palucca Hochschule für Tanz Dresden.

BAUHAUS_reloaded is a dance project realized by paradise is here in 2019, the year of the 100th anniversary of BAUHAUS worldwide.

BAUHAUS_reloaded is a world premiere project that explores the approaches of the Bauhaus collective from their contemporary perspective in seven compositions by young Ticino composers and seven choreographies by young Dresden choreographers.

The connection between Ticino and Dresden didn’t happen by chance. The Dresden dancer, choreographer, pedagogue and founder of the Palucca Schule für Tanz (now Palucca Hochschule für Tanz Dresden) was a close friend of the painter Wassily Kandinsky, who taught at the Bauhaus. Mary Wigman, once Gret Palucca’s teacher, was once again a guest at Monte Verità in Ticino at the same time as Rudolph Laban.
